This is not a firm for everyone, but it might be right for you.

Consider joining the Cleggs Group team.

The work is the reason.

Boutique strategy consultancies offer something the large firms structurally cannot: direct exposure to consequential decisions, without the insulation of hierarchy.

The work itself is demanding. Cleggs Group engagements tend to involve ambiguity, limited precedent, and clients who are operating under real commercial pressure. If that is the environment where you do your best thinking, consider joining the Cleggs Group team.

Rigour, curiosity and the discipline to separate signal from noise.

We are most interested in a demonstrated ability to think clearly under pressure, work independently with incomplete information and communicate findings with precision. Experience in a top-tier strategy consultancy, investment bank, or research institution is relevant, but not the only path in.

The qualities that matter most at Cleggs Group:

Analytical depth

The ability to move from raw data and primary research to a clear, defensible strategic position

Commercial judgment

An instinct for what actually matters in a given market situation, beyond what the framework suggests

Geographic curiosity

Genuine interest in how markets work across different regulatory, cultural, and competitive environments

Intellectual honesty

The willingness to say when a strategy does not hold up, including when it is your own

Economy of language

The ability to write and communicate with precision; we have no use for slide decks that substitute volume for clarity

Market Research Analyst

Zurich, Switzerland – Full Time

We are currently looking for a Market Research Analyst in our Zurich office to support client engagements across go-to-market strategy and market entry advisory. This role sits at the core of Cleggs Group’s client delivery process. This is an active research and analytical position that directly shapes the strategic advice we give to clients navigating market entry and go-to-market decisions.

You will be responsible for building the evidential foundation on which Cleggs Group strategies are built. That means designing and executing primary research, synthesising complex secondary sources, mapping competitive landscapes and translating findings into clear, structured outputs that hold up under intense scrutiny.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Lead primary and secondary research across target markets, drawing on interviews, expert networks, regulatory sources, and proprietary databases
  • Develop competitive landscape analyses that go beyond surface-level findings to identify structural dynamics and strategic implications
  • Assess market attractiveness across candidate geographies, evaluating regulatory environment, route-to-market infrastructure, and competitive density
  • Build financial scenario models to support market entry and go-to-market recommendations
  • Prepare clear, well-structured client-facing deliverables such as written reports, analytical frameworks, and presentation materials
  • Contribute to the scoping and framing of research briefs at the start of engagements
  • Stay current on market developments across Cleggs Group’s core sectors and geographies, flagging relevant intelligence proactively

What We Are Looking For

  • A strong academic record in economics, business, law, political economy, or a related field
  • 1–3 years of experience in strategy consulting, investment banking, or a research-intensive environment
  • Demonstratable ability to design and execute structured research
  • High proficiency in synthesising large volumes of information into concise, actionable insight
  • Strong financial modelling skills and comfort working with incomplete or imperfect data sets
  • Exceptional written English; the ability to write precisely and economically is non-negotiable
  • A genuine interest in how markets work across different regulatory, cultural, and competitive contexts
  • The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities without requiring close supervision
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage
